Cape St. Francis

Cape St. Francis is about 22 km from Humansdorp, and approximately 74 km from Port Elizabeth. It offers the holiday maker many adventures, for example 4X4 beach excursions,A long stretch of surf for those who like to walk along the beach abseiling, boat cruises, surfing, windsurfing, hiking trails, canoeing, overnight bush camps, tours up the well known lighthouse, and also wonderful fishing opportunities from the surf and many rock fishing spots.

Since the 1800's, the old lighthouse has been keeping watch over the dangerous rocky shores. It is one of the highest lighthouses built from stone and masonry in South Africa and has a breathtaking view over the surrounding The Lighthouse tower over the surrounding area of Seal Point, Cape St. Francis area. Free pre-booked tours are available into the lighthouse and it is a wonderful experience to climb to the top and look out over the bay.

Between Humansdorp and Cape St. Francis, there are lovely places such as St. Francis Bay and Port St. Francis. Port St. Francis have a beautiful little harbour.
